How it is used
- 1Read what is in it before starting. A kit is a whole working and the order matters.
- 2Work it in the order given: clear first, dress second, burn third.
Working it properly
The craft under the instructions — direction, count and order. This is the part that is normally only said across a counter.
- Worked in the order the ladder runs: clear, dress, burn, carry. A kit is assembled in that order and skipping the clearing is the commonest way one fails to satisfy.
- Read the whole thing through before the first step. Half of a working started is harder to put right than one not begun.
- Anything left over — powder, herb, oil — is kept rather than thrown out when the kit is finished.
